Germany - Winter Style Look-book

Since moving to Germany from Virginia, I've had to adapt my wardrobe to the colder temperatures of the European winter. The weather here is comparable to what I'm used to back home, but the difference lies in the need for more layers and warmer clothing. As I navigate the streets of Germany mainly on foot, comfort and practicality have become vital factors in my daily outfit choices.

Layering:

One of the main staples in my winter wardrobe has been dresses paired with tights and high boots. This combination allows me to maintain a sense of femininity and professional appearance while staying warm and cozy. You already know my spill about dresses; they are just versatile and easily transition from day to night, making them a go-to option for me. To combat the chilly winds, I've been layering up with turtleneck bodysuits underneath my dresses, adding an extra layer of warmth without compromising the look.

Easy Styling:

Monochrome looks have also become a favorite of mine since moving to Germany. The simplicity and elegance of dressing in a single color palette create a sleek and sophisticated aesthetic perfect for the European fashion scene, AND it's easy styling 😉. Mixing and matching different shades of the same color, you can create effortlessly chic, stylish, and easy outfits.

Boots Made For Walking:

Regarding footwear, flat boots, and sneakers have been my best friend. So I have to shout out my Stuart Weitzman Boots that have been getting the job done. I've done a lot of walking since arriving in Germany, so comfort is essential, and flat boots have provided the perfect balance of style and practicality for my work style. When running errands, exploring the city, or heading to work, my Sambas have been a reliable choice that keeps my feet happy throughout the day. I can't play about my tootsies, and it's safe to say I will not be a heel girlie while here🤣.

Current Style Vibes:

From what I've observed, the fashion vibe in Stuttgart leans towards casual and laid-back styles, which works perfectly for me, as my current wardrobe is casual chic. Mixing classic pieces with trendy elements, I've been able to create outfits that are both stylish and practical for everyday wear. Whether coffee with friends or attending a cultural event, my wardrobe will effortlessly transition from one occasion to the next.

It's A Wrap:

I'm inspired by the fact that I've created a functional and fashionable wardrobe that works well for Germany. I don't feel pressured to purchase things to make my looks work. The casual chic vibe of the fashion scene here aligns perfectly with my style, allowing me to feel confident and comfortable in my everyday outfits. As I continue to explore the streets of Germany and immerse myself in the local culture, I look forward to discovering new fashion trends and possibly incorporating them into my evolving style😉.
