A Memorable Trip to Davos, Switzerland: Skiing Adventures and Relaxation
I'm super late with this article, but it is a must-share!
Something to consider adding to your Winter “To Do List.”😉
Embarking on a bus ride to Davos, Switzerland, during spring break was a decision that promised both ease and excitement. The ride was not bad, and it was about six hours. Our first visit to Switzerland and hitting the slopes in this picturesque ski town was a bucket list item I didn't know I had.
The Journey Begins
The bus ride to Davos was surprisingly pleasant, with comfortable seats and scenic views. As the hours passed, we chatted, listened to music, and took in the changing landscapes outside the bus window. The journey became part of the experience, setting the tone for our mother-son time ahead in Davos.
Arriving in Davos, the snow-covered slopes glistened under the sun, and we embraced the beauty of the Swiss Alps. We got settled into our hotel and, after, geared up to hit the slopes. If you’re wondering, we don’t own ski gear, with the exception of goggles, everything we needed (ski, boots, helmet, etc…) we rented in Davos. It’s super easy to rent gear all over town, so don’t fret if you plan to visit without gear.😉
I was excited to give my son the experience of a lifetime in the most memorable and notable ski location.
Davos, known for its reputation as a ski town, offered us a new and perfect setting for our traditional mother-son spring break vacation. This annual ritual, which we started when my son was about 7 years old, has become a cherished tradition that allows us to bond, create lasting memories, and savor the thrill of adventure together. He gets it from his momma : )
While Davos may be primarily known for its skiing opportunities, we discovered something beautiful beyond the slopes: a spa day : )—the Hard Rock Hotel, an oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation that exceeded my expectations.
The spa experience at the Hard Rock Hotel was nothing short of amazing, a perfect 10 across the board for its ambiance, services, and overall experience. Every detail, from the tranquil atmosphere to the attentive staff, seemed carefully curated to ensure a sense of luxury and tranquility. The 80-minute massage, OMG🤌🏾! It was just what my body needed after getting beat up on the slopes 🤣 yes, I fell once.
The trip was a good mix of fun and relaxation, making our spring break in Davos genuinely unforgettable.
It's a Wrap
Ultimately, our trip to Davos, Switzerland, was a testament to the joys of trying something new. From the thrill of skiing in the Swiss Alps to the spa's blissfulness, every moment in Davos was a good time. We returned home with many memories, my body rejuvenated, and our hearts filled with pure joy.
