Exploring Vegas: What to Do and Where to Stay
Las Vegas, often called the Entertainment Capital of the World, is a city that never fails to captivate visitors with its vibrant energy, luxurious hotels, world-class entertainment, and endless entertainment options. In this blog post, we are journeying through our recent trip to Las Vegas, highlighting our seamless travel experience, our stay at the exquisite Aria Hotel, the activities and good food we indulged in, and our overall recommendation for this great destination.
The Flight:
Our adventure began with a direct flight via American Airlines from Washington D.C.'s Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) to Las Vegas. Our flight was delayed about 15 minutes due to snow, but otherwise, it was a smooth five-hour flight and a great start to our vacation overall.
Accommodations:
Upon landing in Las Vegas, we headed to the Aria Hotel & Resort. We were greeted by a modern and sophisticated ambiance when we stepped into the lobby. The check-in process was swift, and we were soon on our way to our room.
Our room at the Aria was super cute. It was spacious and clean and boasted a breathtaking city view. The bed was comfortable, the furnishings were plush, and the amenities (especially the spa) made our stay truly luxurious. We booked the Signature Couple's massage, and I also got a manicure at the salon, 10 out of 10. The Aria's commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and providing exceptional service was evident throughout our entire stay. I give it a ten across the board.
The Resort:
One of the highlights of staying at the Aria was the vast array of dining options available. The hotel catered to every palate, from casual eateries to fine dining establishments. We enjoyed dining at Jean Georges Steakhouse, Salt & Ivy, Egghead, Maestros, and a couple of others inside the hotel, and CUT by Wolfgang Puck at The Venetian Resort. Indulging in delectable cuisine prepared by world-class chefs was the highlight of my days 😋. The impeccable service and elegant ambiance added to the overall dining experience. The Aria also houses a vibrant casino, where we tried our luck at the crap table. The electrifying atmosphere and the thrill of the casino added an extra element of excitement for me. The hotel's connection to the shops at Crystals, a luxury shopping destination, allowed us to explore high-end boutiques and indulge in some retail therapy, my favorite thing to do. The Strip and Beyond:
Every trip to Las Vegas has to include a stroll along the famous Las Vegas Strip. We dedicated a few hours to exploring this vibrant boulevard's iconic hotels and attractions, and I was amazed at the structures, the art, and the overall vibrancy.
Las Vegas is renowned for its world-class entertainment, and we made sure to experience some of the shows offered. We were captivated by the breathtaking performance of "O" by Cirque du Soleil, which combined acrobatics, water elements, and stunning visuals to create a genuinely mesmerizing spectacle. We wanted to visit the Sphere, a state-of-the-art entertainment venue that showcases an immersive audiovisual experience, but after everything, we were tired and missed that experience. Our trip to Las Vegas was an incredible experience from start to finish. The seamless travel experience with American Airlines, the luxurious stay at the Aria hotel, the diverse dining options, and the thrilling entertainment choices all contributed to a great vacation. Las Vegas offers a vibrant nightlife and world-class entertainment and is an overall luxurious getaway. I highly recommend this city of lights as a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an unforgettable travel experience.
