Shopping in New York City - The RealReal SoHo Exciting!

New York City is a shopper's paradise, with endless fashion, beauty, and home goods stores. I drove up because I had to pick up my coat from Daniel's Leather (the go-to for custom shearlings and leather coats), so I asked my hubby if we could spend the day hanging out and shopping in the city; he granted my wish. Shopping in NYC was an exciting and fulfilling experience, especially since I started the day with two delicious slices of pizza from “Sauce Pizza NYC”. Their pizza is super thin crust but so delicious😋.

After fueling up with some carbs and cheese, it was time to hit the shops. With its trendy boutiques and consignment shops, Soho is a great place to start. I stopped in a few consignment shops, but INA, which offers high-end designer clothing, had a Balmain leather jacket that I instantly fell in love with. The price tag was a bit hefty, it WAS leather, but it's the end of the cold season, so I wouldn't get to wear it till next season. So I left it behind. But overall, It's a great place to find designer pieces at a discounted price.

After checking out a few consignment shops, it was time to head to Farm Rio, a Brazilian clothing store with a cute and colorful aesthetic. The store is filled with bright prints and fun, uniquely designed fitting rooms, making it a super fun and Instagram-worthy place to shop. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I browsed the racks and found a cute linen wide-leg pants suit. It's a burnt orange color that's perfect for spring. The suit is lightweight and breathable, which will transition well into summer. I will pair it with a simple white tank top and sandals for a casual yet chic look. I'll elevate it with a pump when the occasion calls for it.

Next up on the shopping list was The Real Real, an online luxury consignment shop with a brick-and-mortar location in Soho. The store is filled with designer clothing, shoes, and accessories, all at discounted prices. I scored a pair of Ganni boots I had been eyeing (as seen on one of the fashionistas I follow) for months at a fraction of the original price. I love them; I wore them yesterday!

After getting my fix at The Real Real, I headed to Gucci for some new Spring collection finds I didn't know I needed. The store is super chic, with an amazing display of boldly styled mannequins. I purchased the Spring limited edition Princetown mules; the print is the right pop of color for any casual Spring outfit. I love the Princetown mules. I have a black and bone pair, so I knew this addition would be great. Hubby then spotted the new Spring collection platform heel. I wasn't instantly sold, but I fell in love with the styling possibilities and how comfortable they were once I tried them. So I got them, and I'm super happy that I did! Now, I love platform shoes, and I'm hunting for another pair in a softer color.

After a long day of shopping, it was time to refuel again. The Sales Assistant from Gucci recommended Lure Fish Bar. The restaurant is known for its fresh and flavorful seafood dishes and its chic and trendy atmosphere. The menu features a variety of seafood options, from sushi to lobster rolls and everything in between.

We started with oysters, a glass of wine, a delicious seafood salad, and a spicy cream pasta. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was vibrant. It was the perfect way to relax after a long day of fun and shopping in the city. I recommend it if you are in town looking for good food and great vibes.

So if you're planning a day of shopping in New York City, check out these spots for a fun and fulfilling experience. And remember to wear comfortable shoes, thank me later 😉.
